Minolta Scan Elite 2 (Timings)

I only do the tests that are relevant to me. I leave it to the individual to draw his/her own conclusion.


Timing Test Suite 1

Film is Fuji Superia 400 (Color negative).

CPU Memory HD Connection
Pentium Xeon; 2.8 GHz (with Hyper-Threading) 512 MB 34 GB SCSI Firewire (IEEE 1394)

Notes (common to all test suites)

Timing is inaccurate up to 2 secs, as it is by ear. Some timings are not available because the steps are skipped. (I didn't remove the film holder between scans; the s/w reuses existing settings whenever possible.)

Important note: Dimage 1.10 does a re-focusing when some settings are changed, even though the film holder is not removed. This does not happen on the Scan Elite 5400.

a Timing starts once I click on the "Save" button.

b Total time. You can hear coarse stepping followed by a fine stepping.

c I guess this is the exposure scan.

d Timing stops as soon as the message box disappears.
